Nema has worked in both the private
and public sector supporting the creative industries
and the knowledge economy, regionally, nationally
and internationally. With a keen interest in the
social and information sciences, Nema has positioned
her research in the realm of the science of the
connected age and is currently investigating the
role of the culturepreneur in influencing cultural
policy.
Submerge Ltd has actively been involved in supporting, promoting and networking the region's new talent across the science, digital art and technology sectors. Working closely with industry, research and academia it has lead to being on the forefront of cutting edge technology, research and development. The interest in communications between academia and industry led to an initiative called Submerge in 1999. Submerge has since grown and developed as an organisation that provides a platform for the emerging talent from the South West's Universities and Colleges to enter into industry. Submerge is a public-private organisation supported by the South West Regional Development Agency and Private sector.
