Culture South West (CSW) is one of the eight regional cultural consortiums established by DCMS. Its role is to help improve the quality and range of cultural activity available to those living in or visiting the southwest and support the further development of the region's creative industries.

CSW is managing the delivery of the Regional Creative Industries (non-media) Sector Strategy 2005-08, which identifies infrastructure as a key delivery strand for enabling four sub-sector Forums (Design, Music, Crafts and Theatre) to continue and develop their work in reponse to emerging sector intelligence and the evolving policy context.

CSW contributes funding towards the meetings and activities of the SW Design Forum.
